Swing wins TN Spirit Award at 2011 Nashville Film Festival[tfg_social_share]
Swing foreshadows the complexities and difficulties of communication ... as these children desperately seek out the emotional support of their peers, but at the same time depend on distance and silence to maintain their own sense of dignity, self-respect, and identity.
Swing, made in January 2010 for the 2010 Doorpost Film Project Competition, won the Tennessee Spirit Award for Best Short Narrative at the 2011 Nashville Film Festival. The award was announced after Swing's screening in the Tennessee Film Night category on Sunday, April 17, 2011. Ground Zero sponsored this year's Spirit Award.
The evening was covered by Nashville Arts Examiner Jason Parker here, with a favorable review of Swing.
Congratulations to the cast and crew!
